How to Add Programs to Windows 7 Startup

With the release of  Windows 7, Microsoft has made many changes to the Windows Operating System. Startup folder, the folder which contains the links to programs which are started when Windows is booted. Not all programs are started with Windows by default as it would increase the booting time. But at the same time you can add any installed programs to the start up list so that you do not have to manually start it after Windows boots

Click the "Start" button and select "All Programs." Right-click the "Startup" folder in the menu and select "Open All Users." Choose "Explore" to open the folder for the currently logged-in user only.

Right-click the folder or file you want started when the computer boots. Select "Copy" from the menu.

Right-click any white space in the "Startup" folder you opened in Step 1. Select "Paste" from the menu list. The program will now open the next time you start the computer.
