Five free antivirus for Windows Systems

There are hundreds of possible antivirus solutions for the Windows operating system. Some are worthless and some are viruses themselves. But others are pretty darned dependable. I am sharing here my all time favorite antivirus software for Microsoft windows operating system. All are available with trial free version and always good to have another option in your back pocket. Never install two antiviruses at a same time in same operating system for virus removal. And these are -

1.) AVG Free: Everyone would be recommended avast at first time but this time I prefer AVG rather than avast. The Free edition offers basic antivirus and anti-spyware protection but lacks automatic updating. You notified when new virus definitions and other updates are available, but you must manually click the update button.AVG automatically updates on a regular basis, making sure that your protection is always up-to-date. Also find here how can you disable AVG antivirus.

2.) Microsoft Security Essentials: What I really like about Security Essentials is that once installed, strong, trusted & developed by Microsoft especially for single/free user. Microsoft Security Essentials is a free download that offers protection against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software, such as rootkits and Trojans.

Security Essentials provides real-time scans of downloads and attachments, monitors suspicious file and program activity, runs unattended scans, and will automatically download virus and spyware definitions. Security Essentials uses little CPU and can do a scan without your even realizing its happening. So for those less-than-savvy end users, this might be the one you want. Now Microsoft Security Essentials is more improved, check here what’s new in Microsoft Security Essentials .

3.) Avira Free Antivirus: Avira Free will do a great job of protecting your machine from viruses, with an easy-to-use interface and an incredibly fast scanning engine. In fact, this might well be the fastest antivirus scan you will ever use. What I like about this entry is that it checks for viruses, Trojans, AND rootkits. Аvira download is absolutely free, but this doesn't make its multiple features less qualitative. Free Avira is available antivirus software that is currently used by 100 million of users worldwide.

4.) Bit Defender: Bit Defender does not include any real-time features but makes up for it with a strong scanning engine that can be scheduled for use at any time. The Bit Defender products feature antivirus and antispyware, personal firewall, privacy control, user control, backup for corporate and home users; On-demand scanning - powerful scan engines ensure detection and removal of all viruses in the wild every time you need it. Get here review of Bit Defender Total Security 2012.

5.) Avast: Avast includes a free Home Edition and a subscription-based Professional Edition, as well as a variety of business and enterprise level packages. The Home Edition, which is designated for noncommercial home use only, provides antivirus and anti-spyware protection, anti-rootkit protection, and automatic updates. The Professional Edition provides antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-rootkit, and much more.

This is my personal opinion on antivirus. It’s not a result of any public poll but it may be possible that it will be very parallel.
